DC Finest - The Joker - The Last Ha Ha

This was a good trip down memory lane for me. One of the stories that stood out to me was Batman #251 ( which made the cover ) I think Batman #251 is just a great comic. I had the Batman #251 issue and a number of the issues of The Joker but I seemed to be missing about every other one of them. I hadn’t realized the #10 was never actually published. ‘I enjoyed revisiting the issues with The Creeper and the one with Luthor in particular. This is an odd thing to remember, but that story with Luthor was the first exposure I had to the word “hologram.” I had some of those issues of The Brave and the Bold. I enjoyed those as well.

As we got into some of the later tales of the Joker’s appearances … like the Englehart / Rogers years … those stories were okay. I just got the most out of the nostalgic burst from reading the series I tried to follow in the mid-70’s.

Not all of these DC Finest volumes are holding up for me, but this one was worth the price of admission.

Recommendation: Well, I think the nostalgia-factor weighed heavily in my enjoyment. Your mileage may vary.
